Solitude

I make them run, when I need them to stay.
I say all the things I know I should never say.
I want them to hold me, to make it okay.
But to them I’m just another person, it’s just another day.
And they know I won’t hurt them if they just walk away.
And so they do, and so now here I lay,
Wishing that it was just as easy, for me to walk away.rh
